Well, friends, it’s been a MINUTE since I last posted here. Two reasons for it:
I have been working at presence in the physical world; my days have been filled with more blessings, callings, and challenges than I’m interested in putting on the internet.
My work life has also been answering my offer of commitment by filling every “click-clack” moment my hands have in me.
This weekend marks my 41st turn around the sun, and I took three days off and planned an introvert’s birthday. I sent off cards to a dozen friends and invited them to share with me, for my birthday, one question I could sit with and respond to. And what a blessing I have in friendship, truly. Smart, kind, thoughtful, heartful people. My kids even participated!
There may not be much writing on Substack these days, but a series of essays has been building in me, a sourdough starter needing to be divided and fed to keep growing. Thanks to those who received the invitation and joined me for these quiet green days of slow, a-synchrynous correspondence in my home. Someday parts of their questions and my answers to them will likely appear in writing. For now, I share the altar I made to start my three days of writing, gardening, and parenting.
I hope all you Geminis out there (and all of you who love us) get the conversations and connection you long for, too! Happy spring. Beat back the fascists. Today, I hope you can feel joy from the earth who was here long before them and will be here long after.
